Miniature couplings

The miniature couplings from JAKOB are designed as servo compensation couplings for the offset or axial displacement of two axes. Different versions are available for different applications such as tachos, NC axes, stepper motors, potentiometers, robot drives, linear units, handling devices, angle encoders or servo drives. The shaft is fastened using a clamping ring or grub screws. The miniature couplings are available as bellows couplings, elastomer couplings or cross slide couplings.

As bellows couplings, they are absolutely free of play and maintenance and are designed to transmit high speeds. They are characterized by high torsional rigidity and a low mass moment of inertia. This enables the rotational movement to be transmitted true to the angle and without play.

The compact elastomer miniature couplings as pluggable, backlash-free and flexible shaft couplings can compensate for slightly larger shaft misalignments. They are electrically insulating and have good vibration-damping properties. The advantages of the cross slide coupling, which is also electrically insulating, are, in addition to a very short overall length, a large displacement capacity, low restoring forces, pluggability and the resulting arbitrary combination of different bore diameters.

In normal operation, the couplings are maintenance-free and when installed correctly, JAKOB miniature couplings have an almost unlimited service life. Thanks to the proven modular system and the storage of common diameters, the shortest delivery times are guaranteed.
